Homer's myth in the novel «The Reader» by Bernhard Schlink

This paper focuses on the problem of the representation of Homer’s myth in the novel "The Reader" by B. Schlink. The epos "The Odyssey" by Homer becomes the key to the interpretation of themes and motifs in the novel of B. Schlink. The main character of the novel Michael follows the path of Odysseus and eager to return home and to understand himself and his past.
