The principal concepts used in morphological comparisons are discussed. The concept of homology was put into operation for designation of pure (clear) constructive identity. There are two independent approaches to consideration of biological objects (constructive-morphological consideration and historical one). Accordingly, two classifications of morphological correspondences are proposed: 1) tectological homotypia and architectonical homotypia (homotopycal homotypia = homology and heterotopical), 2) from homogeny to analogy. Remane's criteria of homology were analysed. Three different approaches to morphological comparisons are noted: method of homology, method of analogy, and method of morphological spectra.
