Gorytos from Filippovka

When excavating the eastern periphery of burial mound No. 1 of the Filippovka kurgan cemetery, there was revealed a burial containing a woman’s skeleton. The set of funerary gifts included gorytos with a quiver and numerous arrowheads made of bronze. The article analyses complex construction of the gorytos and presents typological analysis of the arrowheads. Unlike known real containers of this type, the Filippovka gorytos is a replica of reduced scale. Its chronology falls within the 4 th century BC.
