City as a physical embodiment of social space

There are certain ideas about space in the field of scientific research of social philosophy. The article analyzes the interaction of social and physical spaces in urban environments. Traditionally, physical and social spaces are considered separately. Nevertheless, modern studies of the city demonstrate the intersection of these spatial representations in urban environments. The problems of social inequality, migration, power, increased influence of virtual reality, etc. become urgent in the space of the city. The article discusses the basic concepts of interaction of physical and social phenomena in the context of studying urban life. A provision is made that the city is a specific formation, which consideration implies the use of methods for research both physical space and social space. The solutions to the challenges of our time, concerning the urban space, will have a global impact on society.
