City in therms of its “creator”: sociological perspective

In this paper the author analyses the methodological approaches to city-researh: classical and contemporary paradigms, with aim to determine theoretical lacons within these perspectives. While conducting analysis there was found a list of common positions of the perspectives, but, also a lack of conceptualization of creator role in the case of city development process investigation. As a result of synthesis of the existing perspectives, the author offers his own scheme for city-process research.
