«The city of the sun»: from the history of one religious utopia in the Soviet Russia

The article is devoted to history of attempt to design the city-Utopia in Soviet Russia in the second half of the 1920th, which was occupied by Protestant-believers only. On the basis of RGASPY documents, being entered into scientific consideration - minutes of the Political Bureau of Central Committee VKP (b) and the Antireligious Commission at Central Committee VKP (b) - there are considered the reasons of sharp turn in the religious policy of the Soviet state before collectivization, and the direct role of I. V. Stalin in it.
