City conflicts: typology and mediation

The article defines urban conflict and considers its main types. There are various criteria for classifying urban conflicts, such as the source of the conflict, its object, content, significance, type of resolution, form of expression, social result and others. The article also considers ways to prevent urban conflicts, such as improving the effectiveness of interaction between the parties, forecasting, and improving public awareness. The article focuses on the mediation procedure as the most effective tool for resolving disputes with respect for the interests of all parties. In this case, the author considers not only the advantages of mediation, but also its disadvantages.
