Town image and improvement of Yakutsk in the early 20th century

The changes of the town image in the early 20 th century were positive and aimed to improve living conditions of the town-dwellers. The municipal bodies carried out works landscaping the streets, developing water supply, establishing a telegraph. Civilization comforts advanced the everyday life of the citizens. As a result, Yakutsk had become a typical Siberian town of the early 20 h century.
