State and private property in agrarian sector of China

This article is devoted to the analysis of the main trends in the regulation of public and private property in the agro-industrial complex of the PRC. The historical development of approaches to private and public property is shown. Private property in the agro-industrial complex still remains under the full power of the state, which is often accompanied by a complete violation of farmers’ rights. The situation can be stabilized only in the course of China’s growing urbanization and the provision of social guarantees for rural residents in cities. Thus, at present, a recognizable form of property relations has been formed in China, which is characterized by: “Eastern” type of relations, political centralization and full state control over the economy; position regarding the possibility of alienation of private property in the event of an excessive increase in the influence of certain private investors and in order to prevent a weakening of the role of the state. A constraining factor in the development of the agro-industrial complex in China is the fact that the villagers are “attached” to the countryside...
