State Identity and Its Reflec-tion in Russian Legislation

The article examines the formation process and legal registration of the modern Russian state civilizational model, based on its socio-cultural identity. The authors identify the constitutional values that form the basis of the country's population's worldview system and play a key role in strengthening the state's identity. Special attention is paid to the influence of state policy aimed at maintaining the ideas of the state independence and identity, to the legislative process. Based on the analysis, the authors conclude that law is a natural reflection of the Russian civic identity processes formation, the purpose of which is to create a strong and independent state capable to resist the challenges of modernity. The methodological basis of the study is a complex of general scientific (analysis, synthesis, comparison, system-structural) and private scientific (formal-legal, comparative-legal) methods of cognition.
