The state service reflected by mass media of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): results of the empirical sociological research

The article represents the results of the content analysis of mass media in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The goal of the research was to examine the public opinion about the state civil service. It is determined that the activities of the executive power are estimated according to the level of socio-economic development of the republic. Federal officials are considered by the population as political actors, and the political activities of republican officials are frowned upon. Official print media of the republican government (newspaper “Yakutia") criticize more acute federal officials, than the republican ones, while the opposition media (newspaper “Yakutsk Vecherniy"), on the contrary, evaluates more critically the activities of the republican public authorities.
