Public service in the social management system in Russia

The study discusses the role of public service in social management, reveals its essence and main types. In the modern Russian society, public service becomes an important factor in effective social management and is of great relevance to the society. The system of public service in Russia needs to be changed; the successful regulation of public relations by the state largely depends on the effectiveness of these changes. The paper deals with the problems of reforming the national public service, the transformations associated with this process. In addition, the research examines the global experience in the public service reforms, analyzes the Russian and international practices of the institution of public service, identifies its social problems and prospects at the present stage and opportunities to deal with them effectively.
