Public investment as a policy mechanism for smoothing spatial polarization (on the example of China)

The article discusses the features and results of the use of public investment as a policy mechanism for smoothing spatial polarization in China. The main factors of disproportions in the development of the provinces of China are identified, and the dynamics of socio-economic indicators of the development of the regions of the People's Republic of China is studied. On the example of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the processes of state investment are analyzed, the main implemented projects in the field of production, agriculture and infrastructure are considered, and it is proved that the tool under consideration is effective.
