Government measures aimed to form tolerance of the young people: efficiency assessment

The article discusses participation of the government in formation of the youth's tolerance. The purpose of the study is to assess the efficiency of the state support of young people in their dealing with interethnic, interreligious and other intolerance problems. The authors analyze a number of state programs focused on the socioeconomic development of the country, youth policy and patriotic upbringing. It is concluded, that these programs pay little attention to the formation of the tolerance. There is a lack of the efficiency assessment methodology in the programs, and general criteria of assessment are inapplicable on the current stage of the program implementation. Basing upon the program review the authors formulate a number of general suggestions on the efficiency improvement. The research results may be applied for the study of the tolerant society development.
