State regional print media: the issues of type determination (on the example of the Republic of Buryatia)

This article discusses the issue of determination of state regional print media as one of the types of media - authoritarian or libertarian. The author considers this issue in the political and legal aspects on the example of the Republic of Buryatia. The analysis of the legal basis of media regulation, the results of observation for interaction between state regional media and public authorities are provided. The formal and informal signs of state media institution have been identified, it allows to attribute them to a specific model.
