Willingness of the Russian society for social-innovation activity

In the modern world, social progress largely depends on the contribution of the population to solving social problems. The article presents an analysis of the activity of society, as well as readiness for it. Based on the data of a mass opinion poll conducted in the regions of the North-West Federal District in 2019, the following groups of people with different participation in social networks were identified: “asset” (1%), “reserve” (28%), “passive” (71%). Currently, there is no mass character, not only because of institutional and administrative barriers, but also because of the socio-economic nature (the presence of unresolved personal problems in the minds of people pushes public interests to the periphery).
