Strip cartoon novel by Alan Moore «V for ‘vendetta’» in Russian readers’ perception: an issue of challenge to cross-cultural translation

In late 2000-ies a growing number of translated versions of strip-cartoon novels emerged among Russian published works. At the same time the screening of the most famous pieces of that genre has grown in quantity in the Western world. The paper explores interdependence of these phenomena while examination of Alan Moore’ novel «V for ‘Vendetta’» and considers an adaptive process and translation of various formats of visual art.
