Civic position as an indicator of political socialization of youth in the North Caucasus federal district

Political socialization is one of the main functions of the state - to create conditions for the formation of the optimal type of personality for society in a particular period of its development, the integration and consolidation of the civil nation. The result of political socialization is a civic position - the evaluative-activity attitude of individuals to society, the state, and their place in them. Structurally, it integrates civic literacy, self-awareness, and activism. The article examines the results of the survey of students of North Caucasus Federal University on the formation of their civic position, which is an indicator of political socialization of the youth. It is noted that the study participants demonstrated a high level of awareness of themselves as the citizens of the Russian state by accepting the rights and obligations associated with this fact. It is emphasized that in conditions of information war the questions of formation of civil position in youth, prevention of interethnic conflicts, counteraction to ideology of terrorism and prevention of extremism must constantly be in the center of youth policy of subjects of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus.
