Greenmail as a new socio-economic threat

The article deals with the features of greenmail as a kind of shadow business practice. A retrospective analysis of the development of greenmail in Russia is carried out, the differences between this phenomenon and raider capture are given. Contradictions in the current Russian model of corporate governance that contribute to the development of greenmail practice are revealed. The results can be used in further research on this topic.
