«Shapovalov''S group»: use of temporary armored and mechanized formations of the caucasian (Crimean) front in 1942

On the basis of archival documents, the history of the creation and combat employment of temporary formations in the composition of the armored and mechanized parts of the Caucasian Front and the creation of the Crimean front in January-February 1942 was studied; reasons are given about the operative-tactical and other reasons for the disbandment of the mobile group.
