Stephanitis pyri fabricius 1775 (Hemiptera-Heteroptera, Tingidae) - outbreak of mass reproduction

The analysis of the finds of individuals of the pear lace bug was carried out and the range of fodder plants preferred by it was determined. It is established that in 2021-2022 this bug formed foci in the strip from Belgorod to Volgograd. The ubiquitous bugs did not cause very severe damage to forage species, destroying up to 30 % of foliage, but significantly reduced the aesthetic qualities of landscaping. A scale of categories of aesthetic condition of plants depending on the degree of damage to the foliage is presented.
