Soil humus state depending on saturation of crop rotations with grain crops in it

Бесплатный доступ

One of the main tasks of modern agriculture is to ensure a deficit-free balance of humus, the most important indicator of soil fertility. In the soil and climatic conditions of the south-east of the Central Black Earth zone, studies were carried out on the content of humus and its group composition in the arable soil horizon in crop rotations with different saturation with grain crops, as well as the inclusion of legumes and perennial grasses in their structure. The results obtained indicate that when crop rotations were saturated with grain crops up to 84%, there was a tendency to increase the humus content up to 7.2%. Further saturation to 100% led to a decrease in its amount by 0.1-0.3%.
