Characteristics of the authoritarian political regime and its comparison with other regimes

The authoritarian state regime was studied by many historians, philosophers, political scientists mainly in the XX-XXI centuries, as a result of which many books and monographs were created, but discussions about its essence do not subside. The article describes the characteristics of an authoritarian political regime, namely: its concept and features, conditions of establishment and types are considered. According to the main criteria, an authoritarian regime is compared with a democratic and totalitarian one.
