Characterization of the VIR genofond of garden carrot on adaptability and stability of biochemical composition parameters

The authors estimated more 100 kinds of garden carrot with the purpose of the isolation of long-term initial material for selection on high quality of the production. The deficiency of the ecological steadiness is defined in comparison with the responsiveness of the genotype on improvement of environmental conditions. As result of complex estimation of garden carrot kinds from the VIR collection the authors draw a conclusion that the most of studying kinds can be initial material for breeding of intensive type varieties having high quality of the production that is the responsiveness on improvement of environmental conditions. The obtained information may be used for description of the VIR collection on adaptability.
