Characteristics of soil and vegetation cover of the altitudinal belts of Maldy-Nyrd ridge (Sub-Polar Urals)

Characteristics of soil and vegetation cover differentiation within the ecotopologic and altitudinal gradient in the system of mountain tundra, light forest and mountain forest belts of the Maldy-Nyrd mountain ridge are given. General regularities of soil genesis within the investigated gradient are caused by altitudinal zonality, which is expressed in changes of vegetation cover from foot to top of the ridge, and by lithological and geomorphological conditions that determine soil development on rubble eluvial-deluvial sedimentations of different depth.
