Antiviral immunity includes a complex of mechanisms aimed at neutralizing and removing the virus, its antigens and virus-infected cells from the body. The implementation of the protective reaction occurs with the help of both humoral components of immunity (neutralization of viruses with antibodies, immune lysis of virus-infected cells with the participation of antibodies) and cellular (presentation of the viral antigen by phagocytes, cytotoxicity of T - lymphocytes). Dynamic study of antiviral immunity indices in an individual makes it possible to predict the development of the infectious process in him and to carry out targeted correction of the identified deviations. It should be noted that among patients there are groups of people with a high risk of a clinically significant viral infection.
