The emotional burning syndrome and neurotization among medical workers

The burnout of medical professionals is the problem of current interest in psychological science. Special conditions of work may form negative emotional and behavioral reactions which lead to decreasing of professional functions and psychological distress. In this work, we studied associations of the characteristics of the syndrome of emotional burnout and neurotization in a sample of medical workers. It was found that emotional exhaustion and depersonalization reduce neurotization, and the reduction of professional duties increases neurotization.
