Characteristic features of the market development of information technologies in the modern Russian economy

The purpose of this article is to study a state and trends in the development of the information technology market and to identify the features of its functioning in the modern Russian economy, also a development of the recommendations to the government authorities on the forms and methods of its regulation in order to realize the potential of this market segment as a factor of progressive macroeconomic dynamics. The paper presents theoretical and methodological approaches to the research of the modern market of information technologies, based on the principles of the theory of industrial markets and the theory of informatization of economic relations. The authors substantiate the thesis about the need for state regulation of the information technology market, taking into account the general patterns of its development as an industry market and the specifics of IT as an object of market relations, which makes it necessary to realize the potential of public-private partnership and the formation of institutions that stimulate the development and implementation of information technologies in the reproduction process.
