Charismatic leadership in project management: a neurobiological aspect

Бесплатный доступ

The article provides an overview of the literature on charismatic leadership in project management. The neurobiological aspect of charismatic leadership is highlighted. The emphasis is placed on the rationale that «charisma» is not an innate characteristic of a leader, but a developed one. The article suggests considering charismatic leadership as one of the aspects of the socio-psychological skills of a successful project manager. Neurotransmitters and hormones such as dopamine and oxytocin, which play a key role in the formation of charismatic leadership, are considered. Dopamine provides motivation, oxytocin helps build trust. The use of neurobiological methods (for example, qEEG) allows you to objectively evaluate and adjust leadership skills. It is proposed to focus on the development of the dopamine system in traditional projects, and in flexible projects to rely on the production of oxytocin.
