Sgical treatment of the achilles tendon ruptures using titanium nickelide implant mesh

Results of development of surgical technique for repair of ruptured Achilles tendon using TiNi implant mesh are presented in the article. The technique developed was examined in 20 rabbits and in 75 patients with ruptured Achilles tendon. Full range of functions was examined clinically 6 months after the surgery. The structure of repaired tendon was detected using X-ray and ultrasonography. Fully repaired functions of extremity and statistically significant lessening of disability period was revealed in patients after the NiTi implant meshes application.
