The cold war on the pages of the English spy novels (1950 - early 1970's)

The process of forming the image of Another and image of the Enemy is researched in a specific genre of the English literature - the spy novel (1950 - early 1970s). The analysis of the sources shows distinctive characteristics of these images: a portrait image, themes of the nuclear war, descriptions of appearances of political regimes in different countries. The comparative characteristic of the events depicted by writers in novels and the historical reality (the Cold War crises) is given.
