The article deals with ethnographical data on Sarmatians house-keeping and way of life. The data are based on the following antique manuscripts: «The Geography» by Strabo, «De Origine et situ Germanorum», «Annals», and «The Histories» by Tacitus, «Natural History boo» by Pliny the Elder, «Chorographie» by Pomponius Mela, «The Geography» by Ptolemy, «The History» by Ammianus Marcellinus, etc.
Sarmatians, alans, nomads, spear, tanais, european sarmatia, asian sarmatia, strabo, the aorsi, the siraces, roxolani, the iazyges, cataphract, maeotia, wagon.
