Chronic renal failure as a complication of hypertonic disease

Arterial hypertension (AH) can be both a cause and a consequence of kidney disease. The article discusses the features of kidney damage in hypertension, as well as the clinical course, diagnosis and approaches to therapy in secondary forms of hypertension associated with kidney disease. The current understanding of chronic kidney disease as a complication of hypertension is presented.
