Chronic oral pathology in elderly patients

The article analyzes the features of chronic oral pathologies in elderly patients. The main diseases of the oral cavity in the elderly population are considered - caries, periodontal diseases and lesions of the oral mucosa, including potentially malignant ones. Social and behavioral factors, age-related systemic conditions and diseases predisposing to the development of adverse effects in the oral cavity in the elderly are identified.
