The artistic peculiarities and the evolution of V. S. Solovyov's one-act drama

The article analyzes the artistic peculiarities of one-act dramas «Alsim» and «The Noble Rebellion» written by V. S. Solovyov. The author considers the traditional and innovative genre peculiarities of these works of drama. The article studies the direction of the evolution in Solovyov's writings, the logic of his aesthetic and artistic quest, the interpretation of which is important for understanding the processes which were present in the Russian literature of the last quarter of the nineteenth century.
