English Kings James I Stuart and Charles I Stuart spent much money on the court celebrations, purchase of Venetian school's work of arts and patronage of foreign artists. They aspire to imitate the splendour of Spanish and French court life. The Stuart policy in the sphere of artistic culture influenced the emergence of an interest among English aristocracy in Italian Renaissance Art.
