«Wuthering Heights» is a work of love and revenge, which is included in the golden fund of national and world literature. Being written in the Victorian era, «Wuthering Heights» has some features of Victorian society. Victorian women were so fragile that they were always treated as a mere beings, that has confined within some expected rules or norms of the society. Women have always been victims of patriarchal hegemony. In this article, some features of the character of the main characters of the work are presented, as well as the feminist ideas laid down by Emily Bronte.
