The ideas of “Red patriotism” during the years of the civil war (1918-1920)

The article covers the problems defining the particularities and evolution the ideas of “red” Russian patriotism as substantial components of Soviet propaganda during the years of the Civil War (1918-1922) on the basis of numerous of sources and works of historiography. The leaders of bolshevism and soviet propaganda system used the ideas of Russian patriotism as the important element of the policy of revolutionary defense, meeting the needs of the Russian and international proletariat.
