Identification of Russian far-east isolate of bean yellow mosaic virus revealed on cucurbit plants

The authors presented the results of identification of bean yellow mosaic virus for the first time revealed on the South of Russian Far-East on the cucurbit plants with the symptoms of leaf chlorotic mosaic. On the basis of virions morphology and virus-induced inclusions in infected cells, symptomatology, host plants, physical, physico-chemical and antigenic properties of virus-specific and capsid proteins, and also infection by the aphids the vims has identified as bean yellow mosaic virus and it has the properties similar to Italian strains Z 1 and Z 2 revealed on zucchini, and it belongs to Potyvirus genus (Potyviridae family).
