Identification of genes and creation of resistance donors to fusarium wilt desease for breeding fibre-flax and dual use flax

Based on the methods of phytopathological testing and hybridological analysis, effective genes for vertical resistance to fusarium wilt have been identified in the varieties of fibre-flax Zaryanka - Fu 2, Rosinka - Fu 4, Voskhod - Fu 5, Rusich and Smolich - Fu 9, Diplomat - Fu 10 and Lenok - Fu 11. The method of double continuous backcross using the genetic source of seed flax - line No. 3896 and the subsequent selection on infectious-provocative background and in the conditions of the well nursery (nutritional area of 1 plant - 2.5 x 2.5 cm) created donors with the effective gene - Fu 4 for the selection of dual use flax - fiber, seeds (l. 13-18-51-10, l. 47-18-78-8, l. 48-18-77-1). These lines are not inferior to the standard of fiber-flax - Alpha in terms of fiber productivity indicators, and in seed productivity, they surpass the variety seed flax - Severniy more than 1.5 times; oil content in the seeds is 39.8-40.1%. The method of quadruple backcross created a flax donor - l. 365-637 / 14 (BC4 g-2101-4-7 × AP 5) with an effective gene - Fu 8. This line surpassed the original parent form - l. 336 (Surskiy variety), obtained as a result of double continuous backcross (BC2 g-2101-4-7 × AP5), and the standard - variety Alpha by the number of seeds per plant by 54.5 and 90.6%, fiber weight - 24.4 and 80.7%, respectively. Similar results were obtained when testing it in a collection nursery, where the fiber content was 40.3% and its number was 14.6, which was 8.3 abs. percent and 3.8 numbers, respectively, above the standard. As studies show, conducting a repeated double backcross allowed us to obtain a complete analogue of the recurrent parent - AP 5 according to all indicators of productivity.
