Risk identification in healthcare organizations

Бесплатный доступ

The article highlights the features of the current risk identification system, which is a key stage of risk management in a healthcare organization, and emphasizes its importance, due to severalfactors. Firstly, the increasing complexity of medical services and procedures proportionally increases the likelihood of medical errors and complications, which necessitates their in-depth analysis and the development of measures to prevent them. Secondly, increasing demands for the quality of medical care, coming from both patients and regulatory authorities, focus attention on the need to create an effective risk management system. In addition, given the limited resources in the healthcare sector, the task of optimizing costs becomes urgent, which is impossible without a competent assessment and minimization of potential risks. In this context, an adequately functioning risk identification system becomes a key factor in increasing the level ofpatient safety, reducing financial losses and, as a result, improving the quality of medical services provided.
