The article investigates the ideocratic phenomena in the modern public consciousness. Using the conceptual and categorical framework of political and legal sciences, the author analyses the political and legal thinking as a manifestation of interaction and confrontation between rational and irrational in the process of imparting with normativity of ideal-focused political representations of ideological and value orientation.
