Ideological roots and cultural significance of cosmic philosophy of K. E. Tsiolkovsky

The article analyzes the main components of the program of cosmic future of the humanity, presented by Tsiolkovsky K. E., and describes its cultural significance. It is concluded, that Tsiolkovsky’s views were developed under the influence of the typical features of the epoch, including the dominating technical worship, the passion for eugenics, and dissemination of social utopia ideas.
