The paper analyzes the concepts of ideology by L. Althusser, A. Gramsci, and G. Debord. The above-mentioned scientists reviewed the ideology not only as a tool for political ends but also as an effective strategy for deep cultural reforms involving the transformation of everyday practices, values, worldviews, and behavioral patterns. Based on three critical theories, the author reveals the main ways of building and spreading ideologies and identifies the main participants of ideological strategies. The research concludes that there is a considerable growth of the initiators of ideological concepts, and the ideological confrontation is more effective rather than physical conflicts and controversies. In modern culture, the overwhelming majority of civil society institutions and the business community form the ideologies aimed at constructing certain types of subjectivity.
