Hierarchy of nomads’ traditional values as a foundation of nomadic culture

Бесплатный доступ

Every culture creates its own value system, which is transferred from generation to generation. This system includes both traditional perception and vision of environment and morals. The nomadic life style and stock breeding economy determined its own value hierarchy of nomads that differed from domiciled agricultural cultures. Such values of the nomadic culture as dynamism, corporationism, hospitality, ancestor worship are syncretic and reflect uniqueness and peculiarity of this culture. The current hierarchy of values of the nomadic culture is due to the special way of relating to the world and with the world. The axiological paradigm of the study of the nomadic culture provides a possibility to extend significantly the existing ideas about nomadic peoples and allows to consider this unique type of culture as a complex sociocultural phenomenon.
