Applications of simulation in the business process

The article presents the rationale for the application of statistical simulation modeling as one of the methods for processing large amounts of data, which can significantly improve the efficiency of decisions taken in various fields of activity. The issues related to the development of a statistical simulation model of a business process for finding and selecting a supplier of products are considered on the example of an organization for the production of dairy products. A flowchart of the business process, its detailed description is given, and an analysis of the business process under consideration in the interests of simulation modeling is conducted, during which the random variables that are most significant for the simulation of this process are highlighted. To create a model, the laws of distribution of all selected random variables were determined, a modeling algorithm and a model experiment plan were developed. The article presents the result of an experiment conducted on a simulation model.
