The article discusses an immersive trend in the development of the contemporary musical, the genre being strongly impacted by the sociocultural factors. The audience’s interest to interactive performances are analyzed, some examples of immersive musicals are given. The influence of the features of this heat on the pedagogy of theater and art education is shown.
