Immune status of calves under the influence of provagen probiotic

The authors estimated the influence of different doses of Provagen probiotic and its complex with chitosan on immune status of calves. A dose-dependent immunomodulating effect of these preparations was established. The drinking of Provagen in dose of 14 г х head -1 х day -1 and the probiotic (14 г х head -1 х day -1) with chitosan (0.8 г х head -1 х day -1) complex promotes to an increasing of lymphocytes amount in blood and to a rising of humoral immune defense. The duplicated Provagen dose shows the lesser marked stimulatory action on immune system of calves.
