Byzantium and Golden Horde are two, certainly unequal, sources of Russian Imperia cultural traditions. Rus' was included in the «Byzantine Commonwealth)) (D. Obolensky, 1971); its governor in Byzantine hierarchy bore the title б sni ipome^ opxpiiaog (officiant) of the Emperor. In the Nomadic Empire of the Golden Horde Rus'ranked as a vassal for more than two centuries. Russia took the ideology and technology of the Imperial traditions of the Russians in Eurasia from these two sources. The dualistic «universality» of the spiritual power of the Russian state has originated from the said sources too.
