Import substitution of non-commodity non-energy goods in Russia: historical experience and development prospects

The article contains an overview of the domestic experience of import substitution. The characteristics of the reasons that did not allow the successful implementation of the industrialization project in the USSR are presented. The attempts of import substitution in the Soviet period are analyzed. Prospects in the field of import substitution are determined.
